Elsa, the Star of SamoEd!

Awoo! I’m a Samoyed with a big heart and a nose for adventure! Say the word “outside,” and I’m ready 24/7. I love zoomies, belly rubs, playtime, and sneaking extra treats whenever I can. I’m always ready to “help” Jennifer with her classroom adventures (mostly by causing adorable distractions), strike a pose for a photo, and sprinkle fluff and smiles everywhere I go! Did I tell you? I love treats and meeting new friends.

Teacher by Day and Samoyed Mom 24/7

Hello! I’m Jennifer — a 5th-grade teacher and full-time Samoyed mom. I love the journey of both teaching and learning.

Fifth grade has been an amazing adventure, and my goal has continually been to create lessons that are engaging, meaningful, and fun for my students. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from UCLA and my Master’s from USC, and my background in science helps me bring curiosity and creativity into every classroom experience.

When I’m not teaching, I’m spending time with my fluffy companion, Elsa, who brings as much joy (and a little chaos!) to my life as my students do. On this blog, I share classroom tales, teaching tips, lesson ideas, and some of our fun adventures together.
